From the answers
For small brands with limited budgets, enterprise-level platforms like CreatorIQ, Upfluence, or Brandwatch (which often cost $12,000 to $30,000+ per year) are financial overkills. You need tools that offer low monthly entry points, no multi-year lock-ins, and strong focus on micro- and nano-influencers (who drive the highest engagement anyway). Modash +2 The top influencer marketing platforms tailored for small-to-midsize budgets include: Modash: Best overall data and discovery platform for lean teams. It gives you access to a massive global database of over 350 million creators. Their entry-level plan starts around $199–$299/month, and crucially, you can pay monthly without an annual contract. It’s fantastic for filtering by audience demographics, fake follower checks, and tracking e-commerce integrations (like Shopify). G2 +3 Creator.co: Best automated all-in-one hub for hands-on brands. Their self-serve plan starts at $199/month and includes access to a massive creator database, contact credits, and unlimited collaborations. They also offer a "Crowd" marketplace feature where creators pitch you, which reduces the friction of cold outreach on a tight budget. Creator.co Afluencer: Best budget-friendly directory designed specifically for e-commerce and Shopify brands. It operates more like an active marketplace where you post your collaboration or affiliate gigs, and micro-influencers apply directly to work with you. YouTube · Influencer Marketing Hub The "Zero-Tool" Method (Google Sheets + Instagram/TikTok Search): If your software budget is literally $0, skip the platform entirely. Many small brands successfully run early influencer tiers manually. Search niche hashtags on TikTok and Instagram, look for creators with 1k-10k followers who are already posting about adjacent products, and DM them directly. For a small brand with a limited budget, enterprise-level tools like Upfluence, CreatorIQ, or Brandwatch are out of reach. They charge thousands of dollars a year in locked-in subscription fees, which eats into the actual cash you need to pay creators. Instead, small brands need pay-as-you-go marketplaces or native e-commerce integrations with $0 monthly subscription fees. momfluence Top 3 Influencer Platforms for Small Brands & Limited Budgets Collabstr (Best Marketplace for Direct Hires & UGC) Cost: Free to use ($0/month subscription); they charge a transparent ~10% hiring fee on transactions you actually make. Why it fits: It functions like an e-commerce marketplace where micro- and nano-influencers list their exact rates upfront. You can search profiles, see pricing for Instagram/TikTok posts or User-Generated Content (UGC), and pay securely through escrow. There are no surprise monthly software bills or annual contracts. Collabstr +4 Shopify Collabs (Best if your store is on Shopify) Cost: Free to install and use for eligible Shopify merchants (only a 2.9% processing fee applies when you pay out commissions). Why it fits: If you already run a Shopify store, this integrates right into your admin dashboard. It allows you to build a custom application page for your store, search a massive network of creators, send free products/gifts, and run a clean affiliate/commission program without paying for separate software. Shopify +1 Manual Outreach + Free Vetting (The Ultimate Bootstrapped Method) Cost: 100% Free ($0 platform cost). Why it fits: With a tight budget, your time is your capital. Instead of a platform, use the Nano/Micro Tier Strategy: target creators with 1k-10p followers via Instagram/TikTok search or hashtags. Use free analytics/vetting extensions or look at engagement rates directly (nano-influencers often accept product gifting or small $50–$150 fees in exchange for authentic content). For a small brand with a limited budget, enterprise-tier tools like CreatorIQ, GRIN, or Upfluence (which cost thousands of dollars a month and require annual contracts) are a fast track to burning your capital. Instead, you need self-serve marketplaces, free tools, or performance-driven networks where you only pay for content or actual sales. Top Budget-Friendly Influencer Platforms Collabstr: A self-serve marketplace where you can browse micro-influencers on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube with transparent, upfront pricing. There's no expensive monthly subscription—you just pay for the creator packages you want to book. www.reacherapp.com Ainfluencer: A completely free DIY marketplace designed for small-to-medium brands. It provides AI-assisted matching, a built-in chat, and an escrow system for secure, low-cost collaboration on TikTok and Instagram without steep software overhead. Shopify Collabs: If your small brand runs on Shopify, this tool is free to install. It allows you to build an application page on your store, recruit creators organically from your existing customer base, and manage affiliate discount codes/payouts directly in your dashboard. Skeepers (formerly Octoly): Great if you are in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle. It operates on a product-seeding model where you send free merchandise rather than high cash fees to micro- and nano-influencers in exchange for authentic reviews and content. The Zero-Platform Alternative If your budget is practically zero, many small brands skip the software entirely. Reddit · r/content_marketing Use native search on TikTok and Instagram using niche hashtags or look at who is tagging your competitors. Vet them manually for engagement (aiming for nano/micro-influencers with 1k--10k or 10k--100k followers who typically yield higher engagement rates). Reach out via direct message (DM) or professional email offering gifted products or a small affiliate commission. Reddit · r/content_marketing To help narrow down the best pat

About this question
What's the best influencer marketing platform for a small brand with a limited budget?
Over the last four weeks, AI answers to this question named Collabstr (48 of 58 answers), Upfluence (29 of 58 answers) and GRIN (28 of 58 answers) most often. That is how often a name shows up, not a ranking of quality.
How is this measured?
The question is asked as written each week in logged-out US sessions. A brand's figure is the share of this question's valid answers that name it, over a rolling four weeks. To see how AI answers treat your own brand, run the free AI visibility scan at agnostify.com/audit.
How we measure
Each question is asked as written, from a logged-out United States session on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode.
How is a score calculated?
On a category board, the score is the share of every valid run across that category's questions that names the brand, over a rolling four weeks, with a 95% Wilson interval. Rows are ordered by the low end of that interval, so a brand named on one question cannot outrank one named across the category. A brand named in fewer than 10 runs, or on only one question, sits below the line as low confidence. On a question page the share is of that question's runs. Where a name sits in the answer is not a rank.
Which brands count where?
Names are matched to a reviewed brand list, and a brand counts only on questions in its own category. Names that are ordinary words, such as Streak, Loops and Instantly, count only when the answer clearly means the product. A CRM named as an integration in a meeting-notes answer is not a point on the meeting-notes board. A brand named in the question itself, as in “alternatives to Profound”, is not scored on that question, so those runs count neither for nor against it. A name that is not on the list stays off the board until a person adds it.
Will this match a signed-in chat?
A logged-out session has no memory and no personalization, so a signed-in person can see a different answer.
Cited pages are the sources that engine marked as citations, not every link in the raw response.
